The Home Theory makes lawns and rugs for homes that have no ground, with the care of a textile house and a very long view.

The Home Theory, New York

Most artificial grass is sold by the roll, to contractors, for football fields. We make it the way a rug is made: finished edges, honest sizes, a pile you would choose for a living room, and a backing that lets the rain through.

The house

The Home Theory began with a terrace in Queens and a roll of turf that looked wrong in every light. We spent a year on yarn, blade shape and density before we were willing to put our name on a square foot of it. Our pieces are woven to our specification in Lahore, where floors have been dressed in textile for five centuries, and designed, specified and tested from New York.
