The Home Theory, New York

Five decisions separate a lawn from a green carpet. We publish all of them.

Blades of artificial grass, drawing
  1. 01

    Colour

A single, deep field green. No brown thatch and no gimmick tones: the pile is dense enough that the backing never shows, and the blade has a soft matte face that catches light the way a freshly mown lawn does.

  2. 02

    Blade

Gramercy uses a C-shaped monofilament for resilience under daily traffic. Hudson uses a wider W-shaped blade that stays cool underfoot and catches light the way a mown lawn does.

  3. 03

    Pile and weight

20 mm for everyday rooms. 30 mm where you want to lie down. Face weight is the number that predicts how a surface will look in year five, and we publish it on every piece.

  4. 04

    Backing

A woven polypropylene primary with a reinforcing net, coated in SBR latex and punched on a 10 cm grid. A summer storm passes straight through.

  5. 05

    Finish

Every piece is cut to size, edge-checked by hand, and packed flat or rolled with the pile out so it settles within a day.

Testing

Every production lot is tested for lead and heavy metals, UV fade, and tuft bind before it is cut. Reports are available to trade customers on request.
